CNA names chief financial officer

CNA Financial Corp. on Tuesday named Al Miralles executive vice president and chief financial officer with immediate effect, succeeding James Anderson, who has resigned.

Mr. Miralles was previously president of warranty operations and former chief risk officer for the insurer.

Mr. Anderson, who was appointed CFO in 2018, has left the company “to pursue other opportunities,” CNA said.

A spokesman declined further comment.

Mr. Miralles, who has served as president of its warranty business for just four months, will be based in Chicago and report to Chairman and CEO Dino Robusto, CNA said.

He joined the insurer in 2011 as senior vice president, treasurer and head of investments. Prior to that, Mr. Miralles was chief financial officer for the investments division of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co.
