Firms might move production bases out of China amid outbreak

Singapore-based DBS Bank Ltd. has said that the coronavirus outbreak is expected to result in multinational companies shifting their production bases from China to mitigate the effects of supply-chain disruptions, Taipei Times reported. However, disruption to manufacturing in China has raised concerns over the negative spillover effects on countries involved in the regional supply chain, including Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam and India.
