Hannover Re Shanghai to boost registered capital 60%

Germany-based reinsurer Hannover Re SE plans to increase the registered capital of its Shanghai operation by more than 60% to 4.105 billion Chinese yuan ($588 million) from CNY 2.545 billion, Asia Insurance Review reports. The proposed increase is subject to the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission's approval.
