Businesses forced to pay for data loss cover on property policies

Businesses in the United Kingdom are being forced to take additional information technology buildings insurance, on top of existing cover, to protect themselves against data losses in case of floods or fire, Small Business reported citing The Daily Telegraph. Insurers are worried that increasing reliance of businesses on IT could mean huge losses for insurers if natural catastrophe were to hit.
