Qualcomm could be fined 10% of revenue for anti-competitive tactics

The European Commission is investigating U.S.-based chipmaker Qualcomm Inc. for possible anti-competitive tactics in the radio frequency chip space, and the company could be fined 10% of its annual revenue if found guilty, Engadget reports citing Reuters. Qualcomm has allegedly abused its influence in 5G baseband processors to push companies into using its radio frequency front end chips instead of third-party options.
