Liberty names executive to head combined marine unit

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co has combined its U.S.-based inland marine and ocean marine underwriting teams to form its U.S. Marine Practice and has named Dan Feige to lead the new unit as chief underwriting office for marine, Liberty said in a statement Thursday.
Liberty combined its U.S. inland marine and ocean marine underwriting teams to help brokers access integrated marine coverages, Gregg Cunningham, national insurance property general manager, said in the statement.
Mr. Feige, who will be based in New York, most recently led Liberty Mutual’s inland marine practice and previously held ocean marine leadership and underwriting roles.
