Virus forces Starbucks to shut more than half its China stores

U.S.-based coffeehouse chain Starbucks Corp. has temporarily closed more than half of its stores in mainland China to limit the spread of coronavirus, NPR reports. China is the second-largest market for Starbucks with nearly 4,300 stores. Other food chains like McDonald's Corp. and KFC Corp. are also closing stores in the country.
