FM Global promotes longtime business leaders

FM Global named longtime underwriting and sales manager James R. Galloway an executive vice president of the insurer and head of its international and middle market divisions.

He replaces Chris Johnson, who is retiring, FM Global said in a statement Thursday.

Mr. Galloway most recently was a senior vice president and division manager of AFM, the insurer’s middle market business. He joined FM Global in 1986 as a loss prevention consultant.

Replacing Mr. Galloway as division manager of AFM is Gerry L. Alonso. Previously, Mr. Alonso was eastern USA division manager for FM Global. He joined the insurer in 1985.

Mr. Galloway and Mr. Alonso will be based in FM Global’s headquarters in Johnston, Rhode Island.
