Liberty Mutual unit hires former Hiscox terrorism underwriter

Liberty Specialty Markets, a unit of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, on Wednesday named former Hiscox USA underwriter Jennifer Rubin as senior underwriting executive and head of terrorism underwriting in North America. 

In the newly created role, New York-based Ms. Rubin will report to Alex Montoya, president of U.S., Bermuda and Latin America, the insurer said in a statement.

“Her initial focus will be on our North America war and terrorism team, which has seen a significant increase in U.S. terrorism submissions,” Mr. Montoya said in the statement.  

Most recently, Ms. Rubin was senior vice president, head of property and terrorism at Hiscox USA, a unit of Hiscox Ltd.
