EPIC hires former Willis Towers Watson brokers

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants has hired several Los Angeles-based brokers that previously worked for rival Willis Tower Watson PLC.
San Francisco-based EPIC announced Thursday it had hired David Thoke and Bobbi Jo DeNofa as managing principals in its Southwest risk management practice.
Mr. Thoke was previously an executive vice president at Willis Towers Watson, and Ms. DeNofa was head of the broker’s southern California office, the statements said. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson in 2005, both had worked at Marsh LLC.
They will report to KJ Wagner, president of EPIC’s Southwest region, who joined the firm from Willis Towers Watson last year.
In addition, according to their LinkedIn profiles, several other brokers joined EPIC’s Los Angeles team from Willis Towers Watson this month, including Raylene Chiarizzio, who joined as a senior vice president, and Charlie Jimenez and Sacha Munro, who joined as client executives.
Neither EPIC nor Willis Towers Watson immediately responded to requests for comment.
