BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

M&A

Mitchell/Genex on Monday announced it has acquired CompAlliance LLC, which specializes in workers compensation services, including case management, utilization review and 24-hour nurse triage, among other services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The transaction will expand the range of services the San Diego-based technology solutions, medical cost containment and disability management company offers its clients, the company said in a statement.

“Adding CompAlliance to Mitchell/Genex was a natural fit for both companies,” Alex Sun, Mitchell president and CEO, said in a statement. “Both of our companies are committed to driving better claim outcomes and creating additional value for our clients and injured or disabled workers. The transaction extends our industry-leading expertise in medical cost containment and clinical solutions.”

Doing business as Mitchell/Genex, the company formed in 2018 when Genex Services LLC became a subsidiary of Mitchell International Inc.

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, CompAlliance has served the comp industry since 1992 and employs a team of 125 professionals.
