Flood victims could get hundreds of millions after ruling

The Supreme Court in the Australian state of New South Wales has ruled in favor of the 2011 flood victims in Queensland, paving the way for them receiving hundreds of millions of dollars in damages from the municipal dam operators, ABC News reported. The Insurance Council of Australia said that insurers have already paid of more than $1.5 billion in claims related to the floods.
