The Pennsylvania State University is suing a recreational vehicle rental company for using the school’s famous Nittany Lion logo in its marketing materials aimed at potential customers who may want to rent the vehicles for football tailgating, the Centre Daily Times reported on Monday.

The 137-page federal lawsuit filed on Wednesday accuses GoPSUrv.com of using Penn State’s Nittany Lion logo to market its products by suggesting an affiliation with the university through “virtually all” of its branding and advertising, according to the newspaper.

The company, which rents RVs for home football games, also uses the Nittany Lion logo in “numerous” images and videos on its website, along with a navy blue color scheme similar to that of the university to create brand confusion, according to the newspaper.

The university is requesting up to $100,000 in damages and an order that the company to stop using the university’s trademarks and send all of its materials with the marks to the university.
