Samsung Heavy Industries fined $75 million for bribery

The U.S. Department of Justice has fined South Korea-based shipbuilding firm Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. $75 million to settle a bribery case, Nasdaq reports citing RTTNews. The company violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act after it paid millions of dollars in bribes to officials in Brazil, the Justice Department said.
