Bushfires cause nearly $100 million of damage in Australia

Bushfires burning through Queensland and northern New South Wales in Australia have caused $145 million Australia ($99 million) worth of damage, ABC News reported. The Insurance Council of Australia said that insurers have handled 1,340 bushfire-related claims so far.
