John Drzik will step down as president of Marsh LLC’s global risk and digital unit on Jan. 1, the brokerage announced Friday.

Mr. Drzik, who has headed the global risk and digital unit since its formation in 2017, will remain a senior adviser to the business, a Marsh statement said.

“In this new role, he will work with John Doyle, president and CEO of Marsh, and the Marsh Executive Committee on strategic risk and digital issues. He will also continue to serve as Chairman of Marsh & McLennan Insights,” the statement said.

Mr. Drzik joined Marsh in 2014 from Oliver Wyman, the management consulting unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., which is also the parent of Marsh. He joined Oliver Wyman in 1984 and held various roles before being named chairman in 2000.

Marsh did not name a replacement in the global risk and digital role.
