Chemical plants stop production ahead of strike

Canadian plants producing chemicals such as chlorine and sulphuric acid have suspended production ahead of a strike by the workers of Canadian National Railway Co. as these goods cannot be stored in cars on rail sidings, Reuters reports. Around 3,000 unionized workers of CN, including conductors and yard workers, went on strike on Nov. 19, leading to slowed output at industrial plants.
