Climate change could cost global economy nearly $8 trillion

An analysis showed that climate change could cost the global economy nearly $8 trillion by 2050, as increased drought, floods and crop failures hamper growth and threaten infrastructure, The Straits Times reported citing Agence France-Presse. The analysis found that Africa was most at-risk, with Angola being the most climate-vulnerable nation, followed by Nigeria, Egypt, Bangladesh and Venezuela.
