Companies ordered to pay $22 billion for forest fires

Indonesia's Environment and Forestry Ministry said that the government will receive 315 trillion Indonesian rupiah ($22.4 billion) from a number of corporations found responsible for massive forest fires, Tempo reports. Last month, the ministry deemed eight corporations and one individual responsible for widespread forest fires in the country last year.
