Engine issues force airline to cancel 80 international flights

Air New Zealand Ltd. has cancelled more than 80 international flights due to ongoing issues with its planes’ Rolls-Royce engines, RNZ reported. The cancellations will affect 14,000 customers travelling between Dec. 18 and Jan. 5. Most of the cancelled flights are between Christchurch and Perth in Australia, as well as Auckland and Sydney, with limited disruption between Auckland and Tonga. The affected engines are installed on the airline's Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
