Floods cause hundreds of millions of euros of damage in Venice

Luigi Brugnaro, mayor of the Italian city of Venice, said that flooding due to high tides on Nov. 12 is expected to have caused “hundreds of millions of euros” worth of damage in the city, Time reported. Damage was reported at the Ca' Pesaro modern art gallery and at the La Fenice theater.
