Allianz gets the nod in China

Germany-based insurer Allianz SE has received approval from the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission to commence operations in the country, Asia Insurance Review reported. Based in Shanghai, Allianz (China) Insurance Holding Co. will be led by Sergio Balbinot as chairman and Solmaz Altin as chief executive.
