Everest Re cedes a third more to ISL

Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re Group Ltd. ceded more than $97 million of written premiums to its Mt. Logan Re Ltd. collateralized reinsurance sidecar-like vehicle in the third quarter, up 32% from $73 million in the prior year, Artemis reports. Ceded earned premiums totaled nearly $80 million, compared with $66 million in the third quarter of 2018.
