Reinsurers unimpressed with rates, expect price rise

Major reinsurers are unimpressed with the way rates have responded to recent catastrophe loss years and expect positive pricing momentum in 2020, Artemis reports. Brian Young, chief executive of U.S.-based insurer Odyssey Group Holdings Ltd., said that commission levels have remained high and there is too much capacity in the market.
