Hub names chief sales officer for cannabis insurance, risk services

Hub International Inc. has named Jay Virdi chief sales officer for its cannabis insurance and risk services in the U.S. and Canada, the broker said in a statement Tuesday.

He will focus on coverage for those serving the medical and recreational cannabis markets in the U.S. and Canada including producers, distributors and retailers, the statement said.

Mr. Virdi most recently managed the cannabis practice group for Burns & Wilcox Canada Inc.
