Risk Strategies expands with Ohio purchase

Risk Strategies Co. Inc. has bought Mentor, Ohio-based Zito Insurance Agency, the Boston-based brokerage announced Tuesday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Zito has 36 staff headed by Chris Zito, a second office in Rocky River, Ohio, and clients in broadcasting, contracting, manufacturing, nonprofits and real estate, a Risk Strategies statement said.

The agency will operate as Zito Insurance Agency, a division of Risk Strategies, and Mr. Zito will stay with the firm as managing director.

Risk Strategies is the 16th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking. It entered Ohio in 2017 with the purchase of Brightstone Insurance Services in Cleveland and has since bought two other agencies in the state.
