Raging wildfires threaten Sydney as losses mount

More than 80 wildfires burned in the north of New South Wales on Nov. 10 and destroyed at least 150 properties, The Guardian reports citing Australian Associated Press. A fire at Bills Crossing, north of Taree, burned through nearly 12,000 hectares, while the state's Rural Fire Service issued a catastrophic fire danger warning for the greater Sydney and greater Hunter regions.
