Losses force general insurers from crop insurance market

Several general insurers in India have exited the crop insurance market following significant losses from natural catastrophes, The Hindu Business Line reports. ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. and Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Co. Ltd. have exited the segment due to high reinsurance rates.
