A New Jersey women ended up with more wine than dine after a country club waiter left her luxury pink Hermes handbag splotched with burgundy.

In a lawsuit filed, Maryana Beyder claims a waiter at the privately owned Alpine Country Club in Demarest, New Jersey, negligently spilled wine all over her handbag in September 2018, causing property damage of $30,000, reported NBC News on Thursday.

The lawsuit against the country club, filed in the Superior Court of New Jersey, alleges it had a duty to ensure its employees were “qualified and competent,” said the news outlet.

Ms. Beyder’s attorney told NBC that the purse had sentimental value and has since been discontinued by Hermes. The attorney also said Ms. Beyder had been trying to resolve the incident with Alpine for the past year. The country club declined to comment to NBC on the case.
