Argo expects catastrophe losses to dent third-quarter results

Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. expects catastrophe losses and adverse events from prior years to erode its third-quarter results, Artemis reports. The insurer expects to record pre-tax losses of $19 million from hurricane Dorian and typhoon Faxai, and $42 million from prior-year loss development.
