IronPro CUO Leahy promoted to president

Ironshore Inc. on Thursday said it has named Thomas F. Leahy Jr. president of IronPro, its professional and management liability division, effective Nov. 1.

He assumes the role of president from Greg Flood, who is retiring on the same day, an Ironshore spokesman said Thursday in an email.

Mr. Leahy will  be responsible for marketing, underwriting and distribution of IronPro professional and management liability lines to retail and wholesale markets, Ironshore, a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., said in a statement.

Mr. Leahy has been with Ironshore more than 12 years, most recently as executive vice president and chief underwriting officer of IronPro’s management liability book, the statement said, overseeing 85 specialty underwriters in 12 locations nationwide.

He will report to Matthew Dolan, president of Liberty Mutual’s North America Specialty division and Ironshore, and will be based in the New York office of Ironshore.
