Disasters spur rise in crop insurance rates

Crop insurance premiums will rise in India in the second half of fiscal year ending March 31, 2020, following tightening of reinsurance covers given out to nonlife insurers for crop insurance, MoneyControl reports. India has experienced a series of floods and cyclones that have led to a rise in crop losses.
