Bullet train damage from typhoon estimated at $108 million

East Japan Railway Company estimates that the value of its bullet trains that were flooded by Typhoon Hagibis at the end of September was 11.8 billion Japanese yen ($108.3 million), The Japan Times reports. It also expects 12 billion yen in lost revenue in October as a result of the damage to its bullet trains.
