Insurance claims for protests continue rising

Insurance claims for arson, vandalism and loss of business related to anti-government protests in Hong Kong may have reached nearly $600 million Hong Kong (US$76.5 million), the South China Morning Post reports. An insurance expert told the paper that he expected at least HK$400 million worth of business interruption claims, in addition to claims for damage by hundreds of businesses and Hong Kong's transit operator.
