Airline told to change engines or ground planes
Posted On: Oct. 29, 2019 5:18 AM CSTIndia-based Interglobe Aviation Ltd.'s IndiGo airline has been ordered by the country's aviation regulator to change engines on 16 of its Airbus A320neos, following three instances of aircraft turning back due to safety issues, the Business Standard reports. The regulator gave Indigo 15 days to swap out the engines after planes experienced low-pressure turbine issues, a main gearbox failure, and engine vibrations which resulted in schedule disruptions.
