SCOR benefits from revamped retro program for catastrophes

French Reinsurer SCOR S.E. said it has benefited from recent changes to its retrocession program when handling claims for hurricane Dorian and typhoon Faxai, Artemis reports. CEO of SCOR Global P&C, Jean-Paul Conoscente, said that there remains proportional protection in place in Japan that could also help the reinsurer pay claims from the recent typhoon Hagibis as well.
