Scor's net income rises despite higher cat losses

French reinsurer Scor SE's net income grew more than 17% year-on-year to €401 million ($446 million) in the first nine months, despite suffering higher-than-budgeted catastrophe losses, Artemis reported. Gross written premiums increased 17.3% to €12.1 billion, while property/casualty premiums rose 14.6% to more than €5.3 billion.
