Hagibis causes more than $800 million in damage to farms, forests

The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said that typhoon Hagibis has caused nearly $810 million worth of damage to the country's farming, forestry and fisheries sectors, NHK World reports. The typhoon caused $320 million worth of damage to more than 6,000 agricultural facilities, such as reservoirs and drains. Forest roads, wood processing plants and other forestry facilities sustained around $195 million worth of damage.
