Japan’s major insurers to weather recent typhoons

A report by A.M. Best Co. Inc. said that Japan's three major nonlife insurers are unlikely to see serious setbacks from typhoons Faxai and Hagibis, Asia Insurance Review reports. The report said that typhoon Faxai-related claims are unlikely to exceed 200 billion Japanese yen ($1.85 billion) for MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings Inc., Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc. and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co. Ltd.
