Ransomware freezes firm’s customers in 76 countries

German automation firm Pilz GmbH & Co. KG's network has been down since Oct. 13 when it suffered a ransomware attack that shut down its operations in 76 countries, ZDNet reports. "All servers and PC workstations, including the company's communication, have been affected worldwide," the company said. The ransomware attack disconnected all of its customers from the main network and making them unable to file orders and check customer statuses.
