Aon PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Michael Moran, previously CEO of its Aon Inpoint unit, to a new role scaling best practices across the firm.

Rohan Dixon has been named new CEO of Aon Inpoint, Aon said in a statement.

As executive vice president of the Delivering Aon United program, Chicago-based Mr. Moran will expand the program and create a common standard for engaging clients across the firm, Aon said.

His initial priorities will be to guide greater collaboration across Aon’s lines of business within regions, the firm said.

Mr. Moran will also focus on improving sales and strengthening Aon’s segmentation strategy, the firm said.

“We are demonstrating our commitment to our clients by pulling proven best practices from our individual solution lines and regions and spreading them widely across the firm as quickly as we can,” Eric Andersen, Aon co-president, said in the statement.

Mr. Moran has served in leadership roles at Aon during the last 14 years.

New York-based Mr. Dixon joined Aon Inpoint as president in January 2019 and before that was executive vice president and chief broking officer at Aon Risk Solutions, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Mr. Dixon’s “background across broking, insurer strategy and advisory, in addition to his leadership experiences and network across Aon, makes him the ideal leader of Aon Inpoint,” Mr. Moran said in the statement.

Aon on Monday said it has formed a regional insurer group in the U.S. focused on the needs of U.S. regional insurers.
