Typhoon Hagibis hurts Japanese industries

Automaker Subaru Corp. halted operations at a plant in Gunma Prefecture from Oct. 16 because parts suppliers suffered flood damage. Toyota Industries Corp. also suspended operations at a factory in Aichi Prefecture from Oct. 16, while Panasonic Corp. and Hitachi Ltd. stopped plants in Fukushima Prefecture after being flooded.
