Guy Carpenter names global facultative leader

Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, the reinsurance brokerage unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., on Thursday said it has named Dominic Samengo-Turner to the role of global facultative leader.

Succeeding him as head of Marsh JLT Specialty, Asia will be Simon Delchar, Marsh LLC said in the companies’ joint statement.

Mr. Samengo-Turner will manage Guy Carpenter’s facultative operations, including facultative-related investments, strategic hiring and Guy Carpenter’s network business, the statement said. He will be based in London and report to John Trace, CEO of North America, with accountability to James Nash, CEO of international, as well.

Mr. Delchar, currently deputy head of Marsh JLT Specialty, Asia, will succeed Mr. Samengo-Turner as head of Marsh JLT Specialty, Asia on Jan. 1, 2020, Marsh said in the statement.

He will have oversight of Marsh JLT Specialty’s energy, credit, marine, financial and professional, private equity and mergers and acquisitions, construction, and aviation businesses for the region, the statement said.

Mr. Delchar will continue to be based in Singapore and report to Lucy Clarke, president of Marsh JLT Specialty, and David Jacob, CEO of Marsh Asia.
