Nearly 110 flights cancelled in Barcelona due to protests

The Spanish Airports and Air Navigation said that nearly 110 flights were cancelled at Barcelona–El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport in Spain on Oct. 14 due to protests, Xinhua reported. The metro and train lines to the airport were closed, while the high-speed rail link between Barcelona and the city of Girona in north-east Spain and the roads connecting the city to the airport were blocked by demonstrators.
