Former Lyft risk manager joins Willis Towers Watson

Willis Towers Watson PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed former Lyft Inc. risk manager Joseph Hurley as director of corporate risk and broking.

Based in San Francisco, Mr. Hurley joins Willis Towers Watson’s tech center of excellence in Silicon Valley, where he will lead the brokerage’s platform for the marketplace, sharing and gig economy, Willis Towers Watson said in a bulletin.

In the newly created role, Mr. Hurley will report to Alexandra Littlejohn, U.S. West corporate risk and broking region leader at Willis Towers Watson.

Mr. Hurley joins from Lyft, where he was senior manager of risk solutions, the brokerage said.

Prior to that role Mr. Hurley was a risk manager at PG&E Corp. from 2013 to 2016, and before that a casualty advisor at Marsh LLC.
