Rouen chemical plant fire to cost farmers up to $55 million

Didier Guillaume, France's agriculture minister, expects a fire at U.S.-based industrial lubricants manufacturer Lubrizol Corp.'s storage facility near Rouen to cost farmers around €40 million ($44 million) to €50 million ($55 million), Business Recorder reports citing Agence France-Presse. More than 5,250 tons of chemicals, oil and fuel additives burned in the fire that spewed soot over agricultural areas.
