Typhoon could cause multi-billion dollar damage in Tokyo

Jeff Masters, a meteorologist with U.S.-based magazine Scientific American, said that super typhoon Hagibis could cause multi-billion dollar worth of damage if it hits Tokyo Bay, The New York Times reports. Japan Rail, All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd. and Japan Airlines Co. are expected to suspend services ahead of the typhoon, which is likely to make landfall in the country on Oct. 12.
