Protests shutter Ecuador oil production hard

Ecuador-based oil firm EP Petroecuador said that production losses could reach 165,000 barrels per day, or nearly one-third of total oil production, if anti-government protests continue, The Morning Call reports citing the Associated Press. People have seized some oil installations and blocked roads to protest President Lenin Moreno's decision to end fuel subsidies.
