Executives bearish about African reinsurance markets

Africa's reinsurance executives are bearish as declining rates and rising claims weigh on the profitability of the continent's reinsurance markets, Middle East Insurance Review reported. Executives are also concerned about the current outlook amid renewed economic and political uncertainties. They said that rising trade barriers and a slowdown in appetite for Africa's commodities cloud the outlook.
