$350 million in protest losses during Chinese Golden Week

Analysts and business leaders in Hong Kong said that the country's economy lost at least $2.8 billion Hong Kong ($356 million) during the Chinese National Day Golden Week due to anti-government protests, Yahoo reports citing South China Morning Post. Experts said that damage to certain business sectors such as retail, dining, transport and hotels, could exceed HKD 1.9 billion for the holiday weekend.
